fun w/ memaw and papaw

Little Lady

My sweet girl is sleeping much better!  She isn't a perfect sleeper, but she sure has improved.  Evy is eating three meals a day (baby food) and she started snacking on puffs to learn her chewing skills!  Those two bottom teeth came up right at 6 months.  She still loves to smile, laugh, shriek, yell in a high pitch, and is babbling.  Evy started rolling again and is pivoting on her tummy...yay!  She started sitting quite awhile ago (around 5.5 months) and loves her new views from this position.  One of her favorite things is playing in the jumper!

riding with daddy

our smiley girl still loves and NEEDS to be held a lot!  and whatever happened to our good sleeper?! for about two months, this girl has been getting up every three or four hours.  thank you to diet coke for getting me through some mornings...and afternoons!  b/c you know they rarely nap at the same time. :)

way too big, but oh so fun to pretend

his newest trick
and now he says, "CHEESE" when the camera comes out!  well...sometimes (ie. when in the mood).

evy under the sea mat

total toddler

i'm loving this time to let will just be a kid. i'm amazed at how there are many parents out there that try to make their child grow up sooo quick. instead of doing flash cards like some, i am going to try to do some of these random but creative play ideas!

well said...

This picture hit the nail on the head! I would be a very angry woman if I had to get up this often and lose this much sleep if it were for any other reason than my babies!

water bug

With the tremendous heat we've had lately, I decided to fill this baby pool with hose water.  I wasn't sure if Will would enjoy it or not since it was ice cold, but oh did he like it!  We turned our backs for one second when unloading the groceries and there was our fully clothed (third outfit for the day) monkey back in the pool! :)

Rolling...in more ways than one

Evy has been rolling over...she has done it from her tummy to back about a dozen times! Yay Evy! She took a short break from sleeping through the night which about killed her aging mom. But we are thankful that she is back to waking up at 4:45/5:30 instead of 2:00/3:00. She is such a lovely smiling baby...Too bad she wasn't feeling smily during this photo shoot! Will on the other hand is starting to smile on demand (IF...a big IF he is in the right mood). Below are some pictures I took today of the two munchkins after church. Which brings me to my second point. Yes, we are rolling in more ways than one. Today, Will was found rolling in the quadruple church stroller when we went to pick him up. That is because he "wasn't doing too well" and needed to be held in order to not cry. Will is not a fan of being left in the church playroom with strangers and lots of other kids he doesn't know. Daddy drops him off b/c I frankly couldn't do it. But we know it is good for him and that eventually he'll get used to it. It was quite humorous to see our boy in the front (I'm sure he demanded or required this) of a huge stroller with three other little girls! When we spied on him (left service a few minutes early due to Evy getting fussy), Will was quite content b/c the lovely lady was rolling them around and she was so nice to stop at the things Will pointed out...random things like the hand sanitizer on the wall. I just love these servant helpers for loving on our boy and putting up with him while we can attend service! And I pray Will improves in this area as he gets older. :)

Good Times

Dave & Ray played at Noblesville's Festival on the 4th of July... They were great! This time, Jeff and I were holding babies while dancing to their music instead of drinks! The last time we heard this cover band (who started off down in Bloomington during our IU days) was at my friend Kelly's wedding reception.

Sibling Love

These two were meant to be brother & sister, I tell ya!
Going to church

Where one is smiling and the other isn't... story of taking pictures with two babies! :)

Fourth of July Fun

Our neighborhood does some wonderfully fun things for children! We are so thankful! Here you will see the kids participating in the 4th of July parade lead by the Noblesville firetruck and all! Everyone decorated their wagons, strollers, and/or bikes for the parade. Some dogs even got to participate. Jones was all wrapped up in blue streamers curtosy of my mom...until he wizzed and the streamers were destroyed. :) That happened before we were even able to take a picture of him! It was a neat experience that ended in Silly Safari, face painting, balloon making, and popsicle eating!

Evy by the Month

ONE month old... Her rocking chair wasn't ready yet, so we had to improvise. :)

TWO months old...

THREE months old...

Posted two here b/c I couldn't decide!

seriously

it seriously makes you want to jump out of your skin when your baby (now an almost two year old) is saying "ubbles! ubbles!" and demanding that you pour them in his bath! at that moment, i said to myself...I really need to update the blog. i am sooooo sorry i have been absent for so long, but life is just like that when you have two under two! oh evy, you will get your time too, but i have to update on WILL'S big steps first. he now imitates almost everything we do. last night it took me by surprise to see him putting both hands together for our very quick (he has a super short attention span) bedtime prayer (tear). he can say SO much now. my favorites are sissy, mas (more), ubbles (bubbles), meeeeeee, dadddddiiiieees, dash (for both crash and trash), mommmiiiiees, wuv (love), ootie (cookie), iiiii (hi!), and so much more that i can't remember right now. he is absolutely precious in our eyes. although he is still extremely temperamental and contrary, most definitely in his terrible two's...we love him as he is.

and now for EVALYN ROSE... evy is just precious and of course perfect in every way! :) although she sure loves and does best when held during the day, she has been sleeping like a gem. the girl LOVES to smile and coos and talks more than we ever remember will doing when you get your face in front of her. she always has a white tongue (from milk, not thresh), sticks out her tongue often, does SO well with big brother (sweaty & wild) Will sticking his whole head and even self in her face at times. she smiles at him and i swear she knows he will be her best friend some day just by the way she puts up with his overbearing nature now. she is soooo strong in lifting her head up during tummy time, doesn't cry and seems to enjoy it more than i remember will every liking tummy time. she hates long car rides and breaks my heart with her out of breath sobs. she is a nursing champ and loves her grandparents. she rolled from her tummy to back (maybe a fluke) at 5 weeks. today (at 13 weeks) she almost did it a second time but not quite. she loves to move her hands all around. last week, she started constantly sucking on her hands, drooling and blowing bubbles (true signs of teething). i am pretty sure we can see where her top two teeth may come in, but who knows for sure. she slept well at both grandma and grandpa's. loves to eat every two hours in the day. i just loooove her so, my evy rose!
