Live at Five

Will's five months old! These photo shoots are getting trickier now that he's more mobile! But it was fun, and his movement provided me with some nice snapshots. I think Will turned it into playtime!

New Discoveries

Me in the bumbo seat. I used to hate it, but now I love it!

Mom feeding me in the living room, of all places. This is the only food Jones isn't interested in. And he still won't help mom & dad by licking up my spit up...but they ask him to all the time. He's getting SO gray...wonder why????

I love discovering new faces, like Great Gram Jo's.

This is me learning to like my high chair that mommy made daddy put together. =)

Ahhh, sharing my sweet nap time with mom at Great Gram Jo's house...This is the life.

My Thursday Buddy

Mom took this picture of me and my cool friend Kipton, who's around 6 months old. We get to play together with Nanny Janea every Thursday. I love Kip! He is so fun to look at, touch, and smile with. Do you see how I'm holding Janea's finger so I can sit up? Today mom was able to be at home for part of the day since school was cancelled. She lifted my feet for Kipton to touch and he tried to put them in his mouth (he's teething). Both mom and Janea laughed and said, "No, Kip! You can't bite on Will's toes!" Someday I may try to suck on his toes. =)

My Boy

He's saying "Mmmmmooooooommmmmmmmaaaaa" in the middle of his fussy evenings now. Although I realize he may not know exactly what it means yet, it is still his first word in our book, and he still sees how happy I get when he says it. I love how he says it almost every night. And NO, he's not sleeping through the night on a regular basis. In fact, we've had to get up with him every three hours throughout the last two nights. And he also needed car rides to get him to stop screaming for the past two nights. Whoever said colic doesn't last past 3 months needs to come to our house around 6 pm at night. But that's ok, because that's our boy. And we love him even though he's driving his working mom into a sleep deprived crazy state. I'm good in the day, but watch out when 5 o'clock rolls around because I am one tired momma. =) Hence the reason I can rarely answer my phone at night... Sorry friends, but I will come around again when this little boy of mine gets a little easier or when Jeff is able to spend more week nights at home. Till then, I love ya and will pick back up with you soon!

I'll Never Forget...

The morning of Jan. 7th...The first morning I woke up and realized WILL SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT! Do I think it will happen on a regular basis? Probably not. But I'm still psyched that he is capable of it! Waking up to your alarm instead of a baby crying for the first time in four and a half months is a surreal feeling. I had to go to the sink to double check the bottles just to make sure I didn't sleepwalk my way through a feeding. And yes, the next thing I did was check to make sure he was still breathing!

Back to the Grind...

My first day back to work was Monday, so my posts will probably be a bit shorter. However, I really hope to keep up with blogging! I think it would be awesome to someday turn the blog into a memory book for Will. Like a baby book online!

Below is a great picture my parents took when they babysat him a few weeks ago. Will went to their house, so he was captivated with the Christmas decorations and he especially liked staring at the red ball ornaments my mom had hanging around the house. Apparently, all the stimulation caused him to refuse napping. Therefore, the poor guy fell asleep in his exersaucer right in the middle of playing! Too cute!
